William Boone (1775)

William Boone was the ninth child of Daniel and Rebecca Boone. He was born in North Carolina on June 20, 1775 and died in infancy.[1]

When Daniel Boone set out to blaze the Wilderness Road and establish Fort Boonesborough in Kentucky in early 1775, his wife remained at home in North Carolina with most of the children, expecting their ninth child. After establishing the fort, he returned to his family around the time William was born. Sadly, William died shortly afterwards. Daniel then took the rest of the family to Kentucky in August, arriving at the fort on September 8th.
